Write-up on final shoot and rough edit

My final shoot went pretty good, it took almost the whole weekend to do though. I feel good about getting plenty of footage shot. There are a few minor inconsistencies but overall I am pleased. I think the most interesting shot was the most unpleasant to shoot because it was in the rain. I feel like everything came together well in the rough edit and I believe the timing of everything is pretty good. I went through with the razor tool and started going crazy cutting scenes up but I think it made and interest effect and helped the timing. I can't wait to get some feedback and see everyone elses work.

Wesley,
You have a lot of dynamic shoots, I can tell that you thought this project out. You also have some great locations that do a lot of the work for you.
The things that I noticed that I was either confused about or that I think should be worked on are;

During some of the fight scenes you repeat the same move one to many times.

I was confused by the eye make up that the two male figures had towards the end of the film. If you are going to add make-up I think it should be on your beaten up figures.

I was disappointed that the card game did not have a dinning room table and that the figures were beating grass.

You could tighten up some shoots but overall you did a pretty good job cutting the footage.

I enjoyed the overall aspect of the film, but was a little confused without having any sound. The kill shots and punch shots worked ok, some better than others. I would say shorten the film a little and your golden.

I enjoyed watching your film although I did wish it had sound since the characters talk a lot. It is interesting how you have to sort of imagine what the characters are saying and what they sound like. The characters seem interesting and have a lot of personality. The camera was used well. I didn't like that I could tell the beatings were fake though because it would take me out of the whole experience.

I love the action and the visuals are very compelling. It's so funny how we have these casual killings as if nothing happen. Will there be audio? I think it works well without audio, but for some reason I wanna hear something.

This piece is really working. The way that you emphasized the action with the cutting really helps with the action. I kind of wish there was a instrumental playing in the background to kind of signal different scenes or events that are close to happening. For a rough edit it's pretty much there. It's quite funny too so that helps to bring down the tension that the dark lighting that you set up emits. Maybe use a combination of slow and fast shots to emphasize the action. It might even make the piece a little funnier. I like funny.

Pretty solid, I'd like to see more fade into each other shots. Other than that, I can't wait to hear the audio when you get your track done. This is pretty well organized and needs some tightening to it.
